The first time I dragged my husband to an ASC performance, it was not one of our happier marital moments. It was a Sunday afternoon, we were late, and he really could not have cared less about seeing an Elizabethan play that he likely wouldn’t understand or enjoy.
When we walked in to rowdy music and an onstage bar, he changed his expectations just a bit. The story and speaking was not only clear, but hilarious, cleverly contemporary, and thoroughly entertaining. And, by the end of the extraordinary performance, he delivered a hearty standing ovation with the rest of the crowd.
We’ve been huge fans since.
